About Sailor Jupiter

Sailor Jupiter, also known as Makoto Kino, is the guardian of thunder and courage. She is the physically strongest of the Inner Senshi and the fourth to join Sailor Moon's team. Despite her tough exterior, she has a nurturing and feminine side.

Makoto lives alone in her own apartment after losing her parents in a plane crash. She was transferred to Juuban Municipal Junior High School after being expelled from her previous school for fighting. Her tall stature and reputation for fighting often intimidates others, but she's actually very kind-hearted.

Role in the Series

As the physically strongest member of the team, Sailor Jupiter often takes on a protective role. She's usually the first to jump into physical combat and is willing to put herself in danger to protect her friends. Her cooking skills also come in handy during the group's social gatherings.

Despite her tough exterior, Jupiter has a very nurturing personality and often takes care of the other Sailor Guardians. She's particularly protective of Sailor Moon and forms a close friendship with her after initially being a loner at school.

Character Growth

Throughout the series, Makoto learns to balance her strength with her femininity. Initially seen as intimidating by her peers, she gradually reveals her gentle side and finds friends who appreciate her for who she is. She becomes more comfortable with her dual nature as both a fierce warrior and a nurturing caretaker.

Her experiences with the other Sailor Guardians help her overcome the loneliness she felt after losing her parents. By the end of the series, she has found a new family in her friends and has grown more confident in pursuing her dreams of opening a flower shop or bakery.
